SPARKS Summer Internship for High School Students in NYC
This summer Accurise hosted three New York City STEM students from Brooklyn Technical High School for a three-week educational program. The internship was a deep dive into the dynamic world of construction consulting. The students learned the fundamentals of planning and scheduling large-scale construction projects and gained real-world insight into how complex buildings are brought to life. They also learned what it takes to run a successful business, sharpen their professional presence, and to build confidence in presenting ideas. Each student selected one of our current projects, which they 3D modeled and printed. They also developed scheduling, logistics, and cashflow forecasting for their projects. While the original request was for each of them to independently present their work at the end of the internship, they collaborated so well that they formed a company with their own branding through which they presented their projects to Accurise staff.
