Accountant
New York, New York
We are seeking an in-house Accountant to take ownership of key financial functions including invoice processing, accounts receivable management, financial reporting, and support for preparing client proposals.
You’ll work closely with our leadership team to keep operations on track and build strong financial systems. You’ll also serve as a liaison with accounting teams at our client firms, helping ensure smooth coordination and communication.
Full-time: (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm)
On-site: 400 Park Avenue, NYC
Compensation: $55 - 70K, based on experience
Responsibilities
- Generate and process client invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Track accounts receivable and follow-up on outstanding payments
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial components of proposals
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Liaise with client accounting teams and maintain professional relationships
- Provide support for internal reporting, audits, and reconciliations
- Use and maintain QuickBooks for all financial entries and reporting
- Ensure high attention to detail and accuracy across all accounting functions
What We're Looking For
- Excellent work ethics and understanding of confidentiality
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and general accounting principles
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience in professional services or consulting is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
