Associate Planner

We are seeking an experienced Associate Planner to support the delivery of planning and scheduling services on complex construction projects. This is a hands-on role focused on schedule development, updates, and coordination with project teams. The Associate Planner will work closely with senior staff, contributing to schedule integrity and timely reporting, while building the skills needed to advance into a senior-level planning role.

Full-time: (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm)

On-site: 400 Park Avenue, NYC

Compensation: $100 - 150K, based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6 for multiple active projects
  • Work closely with project teams to gather progress updates, verify data, and ensure timely entry of schedule information
  • Assist in creating baseline schedules and integrating cost/resource data where required
  • Review contractor and consultant schedules for accuracy, logic, and conformance to requirements
  • Prepare routine project schedule reports, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates for internal and client review
  • Identify potential schedule risks and escalate issues to senior planning staff
  • Participate in project meetings, providing schedule updates and supporting documentation as needed
  • Assist in developing phasing plans and visual reports under the guidance of senior planners
  • Manage personal deliverables and deadlines in an organized and efficient manner

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling and project planning
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Understanding of construction documents and delivery methods
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to proofread efficiently
  • Comfortable interacting with project teams and walking construction sites for coordination purposes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain scheduling concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow into a senior-level role
