Executive Planning Manager

We are seeking an Executive Planning Manager with a deep understanding of complex project lifecycles and a passion for leading teams, guiding clients, and elevating project outcomes. This role is about shaping project strategy and serving as a trusted advisor to owners, developers, and contractors.

The right fit for this senior role will lead our team of planners, including training, quality reviews and assurance throughout the planning department. Taking responsibility for other team members’ deliverables is an integral part of this role.

Full-time: (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm)

On-site: 400 Park Avenue, NYC

Compensation: $200K+, based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Represent Accurise in a leadership capacity on client engagements and help build long-term relationships
  • Manage team of planner, identify and measure key performance indicators (KPIs). Take accountability for their responsibilities.
  • Provide support to senior planners, schedulers on their assignments
  • Contribute to internal development efforts, including team training, tool refinement, and thought leadership‍
  • Anticipate and communicate scheduling risks with actionable mitigation strategies
  • Translate technical data into clear, high-level reporting tools, dashboards, and graphics for executives
  • Facilitate client-facing meetings, schedule reviews, and scenario planning sessions with project stakeholders
  • Develop, review, and manage detailed schedules using Primavera P6 across multiple large-scale projects
  • Create master schedules and strategic phasing plans to guide client decisions and execution timelines
  • Lead the creation of baseline schedules and support earned value analysis, cost/resource integration, and progress tracking
  • Analyze contractor and consultant schedules for risk, feasibility, and logic integrity
  • Responsible for managing their own time for assigned deliverables in an efficient manner

What We're Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience in construction scheduling and project planning
  • Prior management experience of multiple staff, directly reported to them
  • Provided leadership, training and held accountable for other people’s responsibilities
  • Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Proven experience managing schedules on complex public and private sector projects (transit, healthcare, education, etc.)
  • Strong command of construction documents and project delivery methods
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines with confidence
  • Interact with project teams effectively and able to walk construction sites for observations and coordination related to project schedules
  • Strong client presence with experience in presentations and progress meetings
  • Attention to details and ability proofread efficiently
