Senior Planner

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner with a deep understanding of complex project lifecycles and a passion for leading teams, guiding clients, and elevating project outcomes. This role goes beyond technical scheduling — it is about shaping project strategy, building capacity, and serving as a trusted advisor to owners, developers, and contractors.
This is a full-time, on-site role at Accurise Consulting in New York City. The right fit for this senior role will lead planning and scheduling services on complex construction projects. The position includes client-facing responsibilities, developing and mentoring a team that would report to you, and a focus on delivering strategic project guidance from preconstruction through closeout.
Full-time: (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm)
On-site: 400 Park Avenue, NYC
Compensation: $150 - 200K, based on experience
Responsibilities
- Represent Accurise in a leadership capacity on client engagements and help build long-term relationships
- Contribute to internal development efforts, including team training, tool refinement, and thought leadership
- Anticipate and communicate scheduling risks with actionable mitigation strategies
- Translate technical data into clear, high-level reporting tools, dashboards, and graphics for executives
- Facilitate client-facing meetings, schedule reviews, and scenario planning sessions with project stakeholders
- Mentor and oversee junior schedulers, applying company standards and best practices across projects
- Develop, review, and manage detailed schedules using Primavera P6 across multiple large-scale projects
- Create master schedules and strategic phasing plans to guide client decisions and execution timelines
- Lead the creation of baseline schedules and support earned value analysis, cost/resource integration, and progress tracking
- Analyze contractor and consultant schedules for risk, feasibility, and logic integrity
- Responsible for managing their own time for assigned deliverables in an efficient manner
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in construction scheduling and project planning
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Proven experience managing schedules on complex public and private sector projects (transit, healthcare, education, etc.)
- Strong command of construction documents and project delivery methods
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interact with project teams effectively and able to walk construction sites for observations and coordination related to project schedules
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines with confidence
- Strong client presence with experience in presentations and progress meetings
- Attention to details and ability proofread efficiently
