Kaufman Astoria Studios

Kaufman Astoria Studios is a motion picture and television production facility located in Astoria, Queens.

The expansion of their 120,000-square-foot facility on their campus has three floors of office spaces for business operations and production, and houses Stage N and Stage O, which are used for commercials, promotional spots, photoshoots, rehearsals, small sets, and camera tests. Stage N is a 16,050-square-foot sound stage with a ceiling height of 36 feet and power for 6600 amps. Stage O is a 9,300-square-foot sound stage with a ceiling height of 36 feet and power for 3600 amps. Both stages are fully air conditioned and have adjacent carpentry shops, dressing rooms, make-up and hair, and wardrobe.Chris Giese, Accurise’s Vice President, Development, was the Project Executive for this project while working for Urban Atelier Group (UAG). UAG was responsible for construction management under Chris’ supervision. John Mouzakitis, Accurise’s Managing Partner, provided consulting and scheduling services for the project. His involvement included development of detailed construction schedules as well as monitoring and updating the schedules on a recurring basis.
