West End Labs’ West End Campus is a 3.4-acre assemblage of high-performance mission-driven spaces on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. A major component of this campus is 125 West End Avenue, which is an eight-story, 400,000-square-foot renovation to a building that was converted into a state-of-the-art, purpose-built research and laboratory complex to meet the growing needs of the rapidly expanding life sciences ecosystem of New York City, which includes academic and medical institutions, start-up incubators, and research centers.
The renovation included a full-exterior reclad, interior structural renovations, and a fitout for life sciences spaces, which are uniquely complex due to regulatory compliance, customized HVAC systems, specific utility requirements, optimized layout space, and equipment integration.
Accurise Consulting's managing partner John Mouzakitis built the baseline schedule for 125 West End Avenue and did monthly schedule updates and schedule maintenance to monitor the successful delivery of this project, which offers the largest lab floors in New York City.
