Society Brooklyn & Sackett Place
605,000 SF
Partners: UAG
Architect: SLCE Architects
Accurise Consulting worked with the construction manager to create the baseline schedule, perform the monthly schedule updates, and perform various schedule analyses for Society Brooklyn and Sackett Place, a pair of 21-story residential towers at 267 Bond Street and 498 Sackett Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
The 605,000-square-foot development delivers 517 rental apartments across two independent buildings sharing a single project team and design language. Society Brooklyn, at 267 Bond Street, spans 371,000 square feet and offers 344 studio-to-two-bedroom residences. Sackett Place, at 498 Sackett Street, spans 234,000 square feet and offers 173 one-to-three-bedroom residences geared toward families. Twenty-five percent of the combined units are designated as affordable housing under the Affordable Housing New York Program.
More than 50,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space activates the base of both towers, alongside a new 20,000-square-foot public waterfront esplanade along the Gowanus Canal. Each building features its own wellness center, outdoor swimming pool, and roof terrace overlooking the esplanade and ground-floor retail below.
The 225-foot-tall structures rise from brick-clad podiums into dark glass curtain wall towers, bounded by DeGraw Street to the north, Sackett Street to the south, the Gowanus Canal to the east, and Bond Street to the west. As one of the first major projects delivered under the 2021 Gowanus rezoning, the development helped establish the density and design vocabulary for the wave of mixed-income residential construction now reshaping the neighborhood's former industrial waterfront.
