Morgan North
650,000 square feet
The Morgan North project is a 650,000-square-foot transformation to a historic, 10-story, 1.3 million square-foot facility built in 1933 for the United States Post Office, which was once New York City’s largest postal service distribution center, and Abraham Lincoln’s first stop in Manhattan as the president of the United States.
John Mouzakitis, Accurise’s Managing Partner, provided scheduling services for the revitalization and performed a fullscope review and detailed cashflow projections to ensure the project would fall within financing requirements. In addition to the baseline schedule development, John provided monthly schedule updates. The multi-use building redevelopment included Class A office spaces, 15 new elevators, restoration of the main lobby and creation of two new lobbies, and New York City’s largest roof terrace with shaded workspaces, cabanas for gathering, game and fitness areas, and walkways. The rooftop park is a84,000-square-foot undulating garden with a microclimatic landscape that incorporates indigenous forest tree species, shrubs, and meadows.
